Using the magnet

Using the magnet

The magnet has several functions.
Activation
The first time you use your sensor, you need to activate it using the magnet.
Place the magnet on the small magnet symbol on the right side of the sensor and hold it there for a few seconds until the sensor starts blinking blue.
The blue blinking will end with one long green blink, which indicates that the sensor has connected to the mobile network and is ready for use. This usually happens quickly, but in some cases it may take up to five minutes.

InfoImportant: If your sensor blinks red (unexpectedly), try holding the magnet against the sensor again and repeat the process. If the red blink persists, please contact us at +45 7171 8090 or support@iot-fabrikken.com.
Send a Measurement Immediately
By slowly moving the magnet past the symbol on the right side of the sensor (top to bottom), you can manually trigger the sensor to:
  • Perform a full measurement, which will immediately send the data to the cloud
  • This is useful when you're physically near the sensor and want to verify that everything is working correctly. We recommend doing this as part of the installation or setup process.
  • Note: Handling the sensor may affect its readings. For example, your breath contains a high concentration of CO₂ and humidity, and your body temperature is typically higher than the room temperature. Therefore, measurements taken while using the magnet may fall outside the sensor's standard accuracy range.
CO₂ Calibration (RoomAlyzer FULL only)
The magnet can also be used to calibrate the CO₂ sensor.
To perform a calibration:
  1. Place the device outdoors in fresh air with humidity below 65% RH.
  2. Leave it there for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Hold the magnet against the magnet symbol for approximately 12 seconds—wait for three quick blinks in red, green, and blue.
  4. Do not breathe toward the sensor during this process.
Once the sensor gives the three quick blinks (red/green/blue), the calibration is complete. You can then return the sensor to its normal location.
